Cookies & Tracking Policy
We use cookies, web beacons and other automatic data collection tools in the operation of our Website. Cookies and similar collection tools are files with a small amount of data, which includes a unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and transferred to your device when you log in. We reserve the right to monitor your use of this Website and track you as described in this Cookies & Tracking Policy by the use of any automatic data collection tools at all times and you consent to the use of these tools when you use and access our Website and use the Service.
This Website uses "first-party cookies". (Third-party cookies are cookies that are set by a third-party source other than our Website.) We use both "persistent cookies" that remain on your device for the period of time specified in the cookie (these cookies are activated each time you visit our Website), and "session cookies," which allows us to track your actions on this Website during a browser session.
The cookies and tracking technologies that may be used on this Website can be broadly divided into the following categories:
- Necessary cookies help make our Website usable by enabling basic functions like page navigation and access to secure areas of the Website and login authentication. Our website cannot function properly without these cookies.
- Statistics & Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors interact with this website by collecting and reporting information anonymously.
I. First-Party Cookies & Tracking
A. Website Session Management:
We authenticate our registered Website users and in order to store specific user language preferences.
B. Analytics Services:
We may use web analytics services, such as Google Analytics and/or Admiral Analytics, in order to collect your Website use information. This information is collected in the aggregate and may include the number of page visits, duration, sources of traffic, visited pages, keywords used to find our Website in searches, technical details of visitors' devices and your location. Our Analytics services only show us a unique user ID and do not share any of your PII, your Google username or your specific IP address. For example, Google Analytics uses a unique identifier called a Client ID to track user site activity, which is stored in a first-party cookie We pass a first party cookie onto your browser directly from our Website when we use analytics services.
You may opt-out of Google Analytics by using Google's Browser Add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
C. Ad Performance Tracking:
We track impressions, clicks, and engagement metrics on all Business Content and Sponsored Ads. We share this aggregate performance data with the respective Business User to verify the value of their sponsorship (e.g., 'Your ad was viewed 500 times').
D. API Use Data:
We use an API key(s) for all calls against the social media API made available to our Business Users for Business Content publication on various social media platforms. We track user access patterns and API usage for logging and security. We also store your API keys in our databases, which are encrypted.
E. Social Platform Integrations & Data (Business Users Only):
When you choose to connect a third-party social media account (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, TikTok) to the RockBuzz Business App, we use secure OAuth Access Tokens and Refresh Tokens to maintain this connection. These tokens allow us to perform actions on your behalf, such as publishing Business Content and retrieving messages for your Unified Inbox.
- Data Access & Caching: We access your profile information, posts, and direct messages to display them in the Unified Inbox. We may temporarily cache these messages to facilitate quick replies and scheduling functions directly from our Platform.
- Security: We store these authentication tokens in an encrypted format at rest and use them solely to provide the social integration features you have authorized. We also log API usage patterns to monitor connection stability and prevent abuse.
- License Grant: We do not claim ownership of any content accessed from these third-party platforms. However, by connecting your account, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to process, cache, and display this content solely for the purpose of providing the Unified Inbox and Scheduling features. You may revoke this access at any time via the security settings of the respective third-party platform.
F. Email Retargeting:
We may also use tools that help us understand whether users read email messages or newsletters and/or click on links contained within those messages or newsletters so that we can deliver relevant content or product offers. Through the use of unique identifiers contained in the URL of tools such as tracking pixels, we are able to record the exact time that you read our emails, as well as your IP address. Requests to the server to send the additional content typically includes the IP address of the requesting computer, the time the content was requested, the type of web browser that made the request and the existence of cookies previously set by that server, which may be linked to a unique tracking "token".
G. Device-Specific Information:
We may automatically collect device-specific information about your mobile and other devices such as the type of device you are using, mobile network information including phone numbers, device model, manufacturer, screen resolution, device capabilities, service provider, preferred user language and your page views. We do this to help us determine which aspects of the website work best for mobile traffic and which mobile marketing campaigns work best for the business, including mobile advertising, mobile search marketing, text campaigns, and desktop promotion of mobile sites and services. This information does not identify your device uniquely.
H. Mobile App Permissions
To provide the full App experience, we may request access to:
- Precise Geolocation: To show Social Users 'Deals Near Me' and local events (Social App) or to provide market analytics to Business Users (RockBuzz Business App).
- Camera & Photo Library: To allow Business Users to upload Business Content and Social Users to update profile photos.
- Push Notifications: To alert Business Users of new leads or Social users about expiring deals.
IV. How To Manage Cookies
You can block our cookies or third-party cookies by activating the setting on your browser that allows you to refuse the setting of all or some cookies. However, if you use your browser settings to block all cookies (including essential cookies), you will not be able to use our Website in any meaningful manner as intended.
