RockBuzz Rockford's Post
Did you hear? ArtScene is back in Rockford. And if you haven't gone before, you need to! Spring ArtScene 2026 happens Friday, April 24 from 5 PM to 9 PM and Saturday, April 25 from 4 PM to 9 PM. Hosted by the Rockford Area Arts Council, ArtScene has been a local tradition since 1987. It is free to attend, open to everyone, and gives people the chance to explore art all across the city. What makes ArtScene special is that it is not stuck in just one building. It spreads through Rockford in galleries, shops, cafes, churches, bars, studios, and community spaces. Visitors can see paintings, photography, sculpture, jewelry, quilts, fiber art, prints, and more. Even better, many of the artists are there in person, ready to talk about their work and what inspires them. The art scene is here, and ArtScene proves it.
