Rolling Out a Fresh New Look HPL reveals sneak peek of new Bookmobile Janesville, WI — Hedberg Public Library is excited to offer the community a sneak peek of its new Bookmobile, expected to be delivered to the library and making its first stops around town in early summer 2026. First announced in November 2025, the new HPL Bookmobile will further expand access to library resources and services across the community. “The Bookmobile will be a critical tool in our ability to provide services and outreach to the Janesville community," says Library Director, Eric Robinson. "It will help us better provide access to HPL’s collections, raise awareness about library services, and foster community engagement and partnerships.” Designed by HPL staff and produced by LDV Custom Specialty Vehicles of Burlington, WI, the new Bookmobile is supported financially by the Friends of Hedberg Public Library, HPL Foundation, and library funds. Generous sponsorships from the Dobson Family, Janesville Blackhawk Golden K Kiwanis International, and Caliber Construction LLC will be used to purchase books and supplies for the Bookmobile. The library will launch a public fundraising campaign to further Fill ‘Er Up on National Library Outreach Day (formerly National Bookmobile Day), Wednesday, April 22. Part of National Library Week (April 19-25, 2026), National Library Outreach Day is a day to celebrate library outreach and the dedicated library professionals who are meeting their patrons where they are. Watch the library’s website for more details and how to contribute.
