Some pain changes a person forever. And for Laura, the founder of Marshmallow’s Hope, that pain was the loss of a child. A heartbreak no parent should ever have to experience. But out of that grief, she chose to build something that could help others. Seven years ago, Laura started Marshmallow’s Hope not only to be an example for her two other children, but to be a light for families across Rockford. Through counseling for youth and emerging adults, this nonprofit is helping young people find support, healing, and hope when they need it most. This is what strength looks like.
