What to expect

Socialization Not Isolation AND Loop n Learn Loneliness and isolation can impact overall health and wellness, and this program will explore ways to recognize these challenges and connect with helpful local resources. Participants are invited to enjoy a thoughtful discussion while knitting or crocheting—bring your preferred tools if you’d like to craft along, and free yarn will be available at the event. The Senior Speaker Series is supported by Retired Senior Volunteer Program: Presenter: Wendy Bianchetti, Community Health Worker (CHW), SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital - Janesville Location: Rotary Botanical Gardens Registration Cost: The Senior Speaker Series is free to attend. However, a suggested donation of $5 is greatly appreciated to support the program. Light refreshments will be provided.  About the Presenter: Hello, I’m Wendy Bianchetti, the Community Health Worker at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital – Janesville. As a lifelong resident of this community, I am dedicated to enhancing the lives of our aging population. With over 30 years in education, my passion for supporting older adults grew after caring for my parents. I believe in empowering seniors to live independently and with dignity. At SSM Health, I have developed fall prevention programs and educational initiatives to equip older adults with the tools they need to thrive in our community.
