White Flower Watercolor Workshop

This three-hour workshop is a combination of a realistic white flower, and an abstract background. The class will draw a flower with pencil and images will be provided. This simple drawing will be the foundation for adding a very unique colorful background. Step by step instructions on painting wet on wet (WOW) is a favorite technique for many watercolor artists. The final step will be to add shadows on the flower. All watercolor supplies are included. Each participant will take home an 11”x 15” finished piece. Level: Beginner – Intermediate

Licensed animal educator Noelle Bezio brings the natural world up close, sharing the special abilities, behaviors, and habitats of some of the most amazing animals on the planet. This is a ticketed program offered three times throughout the Earth Day Celebration. Choose the session time that works best for your family. Space is limited, so advance registration is required. Meet these incredible animals: Armadillo Python Chameleon Fox ...and other Zoozort animals! This program is part of the Earth Day Celebration at Rotary Botanical Gardens (10 AM – 3 PM). Landscape Watercolor Workshop

Join us at Rotary Botanical Gardens for this Watercolor Landscape workshop led by Janesville artist Nancy McKinnon. Nancy, an experienced instructor, has conducted workshops for various groups, chaired the Wisconsin Regional Artist Association, and is an active member of the Janesville Art League. Her artwork is regularly showcased in Janesville, Beloit, and Madison. This intimate event offers a chance to explore the creative process with a talented local artist. Seats are limited to ensure Nancy and her assistants can guide participants during the workshop. Bring a notebook, pencil, eraser, and a ruler. All other materials will be supplied. Participants should expect to get messy, gloves will be provided, but if desired, wear old clothing or bring an apron.
