Turn on your porch light and join your neighbors for the annual National Night Out celebration! From neighborhood block parties to our kickoff event at Vernon Park, National Night Out celebrates community and partnerships as we work together to make a safer city. Block parties will be held Tuesday, August 4, throughout the city. New this year, we are moving the kickoff event to Vernon Park, 934 Vernon Ave., for a special splash party from 4-5pm Tuesday, August 4. Community members who do not have a block party in their neighborhood are invited to spend time with water activities and other fun with our department. Get the neighborhood block party application at www.beloitwi.gov/police. Applications are due by Wednesday, July 29. Community members with questions can contact Deputy Chief Paul Kane at kanep@beloitwi.gov. If any organizations want to bring activity or booth to the splash kickoff at Vernon, please fill out this form by Tuesday, July 28. All activities provided must be donated directly to event attendees at no charge; government organization and 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations are especially encouraged to participate.
