Read on for all the details. Tell your teacher friends! The Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions has created a fund for the purpose of promoting innovation in the teaching of personal financial literacy in the classroom. Funds will be awarded through a competitive grant process by the Department of Public Instruction to schools, community organizations, and consortia to support the implementation of the Wisconsin Standards for Personal Financial Literacy in the classroom and the execution of the Act 60 Personal Financial Literacy graduation requirement. Grant awards are limited to one per applicant (up to $7,500). If applying as a consortium, applicants may request up to three times the grant amount (up to $22,500). Multiple schools within the same school district may each apply for a grant individually, or as part of a consortium. Grants may be used to engage students as active participants in financial literacy program development, foster cross-grade collaboration, explore school and community partnerships, and attend or create professional development opportunities for educators.
